The Board's first order of business was to decide whether we were going to have official positions within the Board. The 5 Board Members voted unanimously to not have predefined positions at this time. Since we have 5 members, there cannot be a hung vote. We thought that this was important in the early stages to ensure that no one person could make decisions without the entire board voting, which is often possible when one person is elected as President.

Another important fact we discovered last night is that we cannot change the By-Laws or the Covenants without a 2/3 majority vote from all the lot owners. This is significant in the fact that if we want to change something, we need maximum support from all of our Home Owners to participate when these important decisions need to be made.
